If you're boarder from the past, just say who you used to be in the comments.
If you're a new boarder trying to get in, just give a bit about yourself and what user name you registered as.
Regardless of who you are, make sure you register your new username again; many people are making the mistake of thinking their old usernames carried over to the new board; they didn't.
Try to be patient with the approval process after you submit your username; realize badhat has a job and a family, isn't getting paid to moderate hipinion, and has other matters to tend to; give it a bit before you submit another comment about how you haven't been approved. Things will eventually be resolved.
We all look forward to boarding with you in the future, and sharing in the harmony that is our hipinion community.

my name's matt. just registered under the name "malaprop." lurked for a time, posted extensively on other boards (not for a while, though).
i found out about hipinion from a few friends and reading and listening to elite gymnastics/james brooks & chris ott, etc. basically i take modern music really seriously and am a passionate listener and musician but I've grown overwhelmed and disillusioned with the current state of music-on-the-internet and this board seems like a place where i could thrive. i'd be an active member and so forth, i promise--

Everytime I try to login, the system logs me in for about a second and then kicks me right back out. Hopefully someone sees this help!!

I like music. I like it a lot. I listen to a lot of it. (ha ha)
My favorite genres are post-rock, black metal, noise, punk, drone, sound collage, dark ambient, chant, and any kind of traditional/indigenous music. I run a small music blogspot (not on this Google account), I'm member of a couple private music trackers, and an amateur musician. Perfect 20/20 vision with no food or medicine allergies, no long-term/terminal illness or incurring medication, no physical deformities, and no history of mental illness. Clean criminal record! My favorite candy is Twizzlers and I like peanut butter on both breads of my pbj sandwiches. My favorite distribution of of GNU + Linux is Arch and my favorite emotion is detached resignation/uneasy numbness. A- blood type. Indoctrinated stereotype. I prefer my corn flakes crispy.

Never belonged to a forum before so i think joining the board will be interesting. Studying to become a librarian. Hugely into music and movies.
