If you're a new boarder trying to get in, just give a bit about yourself and what user name you registered as.
Regardless of who you are, make sure you register your new username again; many people are making the mistake of thinking their old usernames carried over to the new board; they didn't.
Try to be patient with the approval process after you submit your username; realize badhat has a job and a family, isn't getting paid to moderate hipinion, and has other matters to tend to; give it a bit before you submit another comment about how you haven't been approved. Things will eventually be resolved.

Hi, I used to lurk in the music/listening party threads, particularly any of the genre-specific threads relating to electronic music. Used to find it a great way of keeping on top of what was new in that area, but at the same time I do like to keep tabs elsewhere on what's happening that scene so I'd like to think I'd be able to contribute myself. Hey. I've been lurking the board for a while and thought it was about time I finally started tested myself as part of the internet's finest community. I've racked up around 50,000 posts on various other forums through the years but I'm ready for something new now.
